FRIENDS ONLY

banner from [info]lecollage; banner art by Melissa Contreras

[MOSTLY] FRIENDS ONLY.

I don't really have any rules about friending. Just comment to be added. Oh, and it'd be cool if you told me where you found me. ^_^

THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW ABOUT ME...
(I mean, if you want to read 'em, you can. Doesn't really matter.)

1. I talk about boys a lot. I'm a teenage girl, what do you expect? XD
2. While my favorite celebrities (see "Obsessions") consume my very being, posts in here mainly deal with actual events in my life (well, what tiny bit of a life I have). So you can generally expect more spazzing about school than spazzing about The Office. Though, of course, there's plenty of that too.
3. I tend to ramble excessively and make entries way longer than they have to be.
4. I call lots of male celebrities "My Husband" or "My Love". If I married everyone I said I would, I'd have, like, seven zillion husbands.
5. I say "like" kind of a lot. I'm trying to cut back though. Really.
6. Arrogant people annoyyyyy meeee. I'm a huge fan of self-deprecation. *thumbs up* :D
7. If you don't mind my total lameness and seriously want to be friends with me, awesome! A good way to get to know me is to read my entries (duh) or my userinfo. Or to just talk to me. I like making new friends!

And yeah, hi! :D

Here is a stupid rant about SNL! :D
I was all excited for SNL tonight because it's gonna be Paul Rudd and Beyonce. Well, like, I'm mostly excited for Paul Rudd, but Beyonce is okay. Paul Rudd is not only THE COOLEST DUDE EVER, but he is hosting because of David Wain's movie!! BEST EPISODE EVER.

And then I found out they're gonna have two new cast members. And they're gonna start tonight. D: How lame is that?! I'm still holding a grudge against Casey Wilson for not being as funny as everyone else. I've gotten used to her, but I still kind of cringe when she delivers her lines in that dumb, I'm-trying-to-be-funny-ha-ha-see-it's-funny kind of way. I don't know. I like what kind of comedy I like and I don't like the kind I don't like. And I think she falls at least partially into the "don't like" category. Blehh, but I really like the cast now and I'm worried about two people coming in and messing it up. I'll try to give them a fair chance. But I swear, if they are unfunny in the Paul Rudd episode, I don't think I'll be able to forgive them.

It already sucks enough that Amy Poehler is leaving the show. And that, like, Casey Wilson is getting all the parts she should get. I'm super happy that she had a baby (it is the best baby ever--that is a fact!), but I really wish she didn't have to quit the show. *sigh* But I know she has to. It just sucks that they have to try to replace her.

I guess I'll have to get used to this. I mean, SNL casts shift around pretty often. In five years, the people that are there now are probably going to be gone. It's just hard to accept. Before Casey and Bobby, I absolutely loved everyone on this cast. That's never happened before! I mean, I like Bobby, and Casey is okay, but I don't have that really lame attachment to them like I have to the others. Ah, but that'll probably come in time.

Okay, this is the dorkiest entry ever. Sorry! Rant over. :D Despite all this, I'm really excited for tonight. I remember someone from the show saying once that the hosts who come in and help write sketches are usually the best. I'm thinking that's probably why the Ben Affleck episode was so good--he's written stuff before. (By the way, LOVED THE BEN AFFLECK EPISODE. Like, a lot. I was really confused when I found out he was hosting because, like, Ben Affleck? Is it 1999? But he was so awesome! It was by far my favorite episode of the season.) And I think the same is going to be true with Paul Rudd. He hasn't written much (like, he co-wrote Role Models with three other guys), but he's a really really funny guy and I'm sure he's got some great ideas.

Speaking of, I really need to see Role Models. I haven't had a chance to yet. And I haven't had the money. :( I really really really want to see it though. I've heard some people say that you can tell it's a David Wain movie and I've heard others say you really can't. Ahh, I hope I see it soon. I can't wait!

Okay, yeah, I am totally done now. :) Hope you all have a great weekend! Bye for now!

Edit: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE:

Okay, I'm pretty sure these new cast members could be absolutely terrible and still not ruin the awesome that is Paul Rudd. :D

HELLO LAST.FM THINGY! HOW'S IT GOING?
Hoooly cow. Check out this new last.fm thing! It can tell what song I'm listening to right now! WITHOUT ME TELLING IT. OH MY GOSH, THE INTERNET IS SO COOL.

I was sort of working on homework but then I decided to take a Livejournal break. This was a mistake. I will be frantically trying to finish everything tomorrow. Oh well! I fail! It's okay!

I really want to make icons but I don't know what to make icons of. And I would probably get really frustrated with icon-making really quickly because I haven't done it in a while and I probably suck more than I did before. I don't know, I might try. I should make some Fred Armisen ones because I love him so much. Guys. I love him so much.

Oh, how about I talk about The Office and that Weekend Update Thursday thing? Okay!

The Office. Oh. Yeah, it was a good episode. It felt like a filler episode though. And that disappointed me because it's only the second episode (unless you count the second part of the first episode a separate episode. In that case, it was only the third episode). *shrug* There were some funny parts though, for sure. My heart went out to Holly! I can't believe she got yelled at for doing her job! I really didn't want to see Meredith go, of course, but I still felt super bad for Holly. Ohh, and the deleted scenes for the episode are AWESOME so far. CHECK IT. The second one? BEST EVER. Kevin might be my favorite character. He is so fantastic, ohhh man.

Weekend Update Thursday. Well, after complaining about how many things are wrong with the title (SATURDAY Night Live WEEKEND Update THURSDAY. Ajfdkldjlf. Just call it, like, Weekday Update or something. Thursday is not Saturday! And it is not part of the Weekend!), I enjoyed it. For the most part. I didn't like the debate-thing as much as I was hoping, and I had to sadly admit to Amanda and Louis that Fred's Obama is not perfect just yet. I think he looks a lot like him and he's got the content pretty much down, but he doesn't really sound or act very much like him. But he's still doing way better than anyone else would! And I still love seeing him. Sighhh. The actual Weekend Update part was really funny, I thought. Amanda and Louis seemed unamused by Kenan's "FIX IT" thing. I thought it was pretty funny though. I had a friend who was quoting it the day after. But this friend also thinks Clerks II is funny, so I'm not sure if I should use him to defend my case. *sigh* *is a comedy snob*

But anyways, it was awesome to watch my two favorite shows back-to-back, even if they weren't the absolute best episodes. They weren't bad by any means. They were good. Not extremely good, but pretty good! I am satisfied. (That's what she said.)

Ohh, so I was going to make my LJ profile look nice tonight when I was stalling on homework (I didn't. I'm so lazy, aaahhh!) and while I was contemplating this, I took a look at my interests. American Idol was the first (because of alphabetical order) and I thought about taking it off. I'm so fed up with that show. I've been telling all my friends that I'm not going to watch it this year. They're all like "Yeah, sure. I bet." But I am really serious. I don't want to restrict myself too much this year though. I will probably end up watching the Top 12 to see if there's anyone I like. I really don't plan on voting or watching even semi-regularly. I'm thinking I might catch half an episode the whole season. I really want to get rid of this addiction. So much of my life has been poured into that silly show (God, I am so lame. It's so true) and it never ends well. David Cook winning last year is pretty much the final straw for me. Because I KNEW he was going to won. He wasn't the most talented, but I know Idol enough to know that he would have won over David Archuleta no matter what. Because he's a rocker. It's stupid. I don't want to get upset like that this year. I've just had it. :\

Eh, so yeah! No more Idol for me. Hooopefully. XD

Aaanyways. I think that's all. This entry is really boring. Wow. I'm sorry! I'm gonna go try to make icons or something. Hope you all are having a great weekend! Bye for now!

Look at that icon! Jim is just smilin' away!
Man, I need to get me a paid Livejournal account. That would rock. I had to delete my Micky icon so I could upload this one. But I think it was a good choice! JIM. WHAT IS HE SMILING ABOUT. IT IS A MYSTERY. (EEEEEE NO IT ISN'T, IT TOTALLY ISN'T.) :D

In other news, Halloween is coming up (okay, in a month, but still). I really wanted to be something other than a pirate because I've been a pirate for the past five years. No joke. So I've been thinking about what else I could be. And Amanda and I watched Spice World yesterday (BEST MOVIE EVER, SERIOUSLY) and I thought "Oh man! I could totally be Baby Spice!" Well, actually, my first thought was, "Oh man! I should totally be Scary Spice!" But then I mourned because I could not be Scary Spice. One, I own no leopard print. Two, my curly hair is not nearly as curly and awesome as hers. And three, I am not African-American. BOOO.

Alas, I doubt I am actually going to be Baby Spice. I don't have any tight dresses and I definitely don't have any platform shoes (regrettably. How do I not have any platform shoes? Oh the shame, it burns my face!). I have blonde hair and I could wear pigtails, but I might just end up looking like a whore. And my friends will be like "Michelle, you are a whore for Halloween?" And I will chuckle and say, "No, children. No, I am a member of the popular 90's all-girl pop group the Spice Girls." And then will nod and say, "Yes, so you are a whore." This may result in a fist fight. It will be a mess.

On a side note, I love the Spice Girls. So freaking much. They are awesome. They have awesome songs and awesome dance moves and awesome clothes. And Spice World is an awesome movie. And if you disagree, you go watch it again! It is good! You are probably just assuming it was bad because you watched it when you were young and stupid! But no! No, it is funny and it has a good cast! IT HAS A GOOD CAST. I WILL ARGUE THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Oh, back to the topic at hand. Maybe I should go as Pirate Spice. PIRATE SPICEEE. I could wear pigtails and high heels and a pegleg. Note to self: Get a pegleg. I will make this happen.

Okay, I think that's all I wanted to say. I really just wanted to show you all my shiny new icon. It is by [info]sabi7. And it is fantastiiiic! :D Best. Show. Ever.

Okay okay okay okay. I hope you all have a great week! Bye for now! :D

Pretty weather makes a happy me.
It's strange--I woke up today and felt better. It's an absolutely amazing day outside. I can hear the birds chirping. There isn't a cloud in the sky. Before I opened my blinds this morning, I could see the sunlight shining through them like it couldn't wait to get into my room. Just a really beautiful day! Hans (my brother) and I are going to go out for a walk in a little bit. I mean, it's just too gorgeous not to go outside. And I rarely say that!

We're also going to play Rock Band and I am REALLY EXCITED. I haven't played Rock Band in a looong time. I always forget how awesome it is. Fo sho. I am a beast on the drums. ...Okay, I'm not a beast, but still. I like the drums. They are cool. :D

Anyways, I don't have much to say. I guess I just wanted to say hi and that I'm feeling really good. Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! Bye for now!

I have been really bad at coming up with subjects lately.
I totally had a dream last night that I was hanging out with Fred Armisen and we became friends and he played music for me and smiled a lot. It was awesome!

Also, LOOK AT THIS. Words cannot describe the happy that is in my heart! I think Kyle and I are going to go to the Chicago one!! FLDJKFADJSLK. I am so excited, ahhhh! I don't even know what I'd SAY to Michael Ian Black. What do you say to someone like him?! "Oh hi YOU CONSUME MY BEING." "Hey what's up OH MY JESUS CAN I TOUCH YOU." "Hello I KNOW THE NAMES OF ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS." Ahhhh. I don't even know. But if I go, I'll totally bring the Stella DVD so he knows I love him more than for his appearances on I Love The (decade). Even though the fact that I will be there should probably tell him the same thing. I would really love to get all three of them to sign my Stella DVD at some point. Starting with Michael Ian Black is totally fine by me. Ahhhhjfkldsjflk I cannot believe he is going to be so close to where I am!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope I can go!

Other than freaking out about my celebrity loves, I have been playing absurd amounts of Pokemon FireRed. I beat the Elite Four a while ago. I'm about to catch Mewtwo, I think. Well, actually, I'm about to take out Team Rocket for (HOPEFULLY) the last time. We'll see! It's so much fun though. Oh my gosh. I am addicted to Pokemon. It's so pathetic. -__-

Okay. This is going to sound crazy, but I swear I smell Taco Bell right now. And it's making me really want some. Ahhh what is wrong with me? :(

Alright, I'm going to go kick Team Rocket's ass now. I hope you all are having a great week so far. :D Bye for now!

Also, I have to tell you about the prank my friends pulled on me. Specifically my buddy Jessica. She made a little sign that says Stella is coming to Augustana and put it on a table in the cafeteria. When we all went out to dinner, she left it on the table until I saw it. I freaked out and screamed really loud and was like, "OMG! OMG, GUYS! STELLA! ...WAIT. Aw, crap." It was so mean of them. XD But I totally felt awesome. She went through work to prank me! I feel honored. :D I love April Fool's Day!

LIVEJOURNAL CONTENT STRIKE
I might not have posted on the 21st anyway, but just in case, I'd like to make a point of this. I hope it'll do SOMEthing. The things that have been going on with Livejournal lately are ridiculous. And lame. :(

I hope you all join me in not posting on Livejournal on the 21st! :)

(By the way, I snagged all this from here!.)

For those of you who don't already know, there has been a strike scheduled for Friday, March 21st, 2008, during which we hope to have many members of LiveJournal provide LJ with absolutely no content for twenty-four hours. This means no posting and no commenting. If you post elsewhere and have it set up to be posted through a feed on LiveJournal, don't do it. Stay away from LiveJournal for twenty-four hours. That can't be too hard, can it? I know some of you are probably quite active on LiveJournal and will find it hard to stay away for an entire day, just as I will, but this is something that needs to be done, to show the people running LiveJournal that we're watching the changes they are making, that we're paying attention, that we're discontent, and that we want to be heard and taken in to consideration. We are not simply users who can be tossed to the side and ignored. We are the people who make up LiveJournal. Without us, without the content we create, without our words, our voices, our creativity, our participation, there would be no LiveJournal. This is a fact, and it needs to be realized and understood and then taken in to consideration when making decisions regarding the way that LiveJournal is run. The strike is only a few days away, so there isn't all too much time to prepare. While this is unfortunate, it isn't enough to keep this strike from taking place. It will take place, the second it is meant to, and it would be best to have as many people take part as possible. Please, spread the word. Spread it fast. There are only a few days to organize this. If you find that you care about LiveJournal or care about the people you interact with on LiveJournal or simply want it to remain a place where you can entertain yourself without constant censorship and money-hungry practices being thrown in without the consideration of those who use the service, act now. If you don't wish to spread the word, that is fine, but please: refrain from using LiveJournal on Friday, March 21st. Do something else for a change. It's for a good cause. (:

For background on this strike and why it is being held, please read the following posts:
http://beckyzoole.livejournal.com/394838.html
http://beckyzoole.livejournal.com/395310.html

To find out exactly when the strike begins and ends, depending on where you are located, please see this:
http://beckyzoole.livejournal.com/395125.html

What's this about?

* It's about free and ad-free LiveJournal accounts being abolished for new members, ignoring the advice from the newly-formed Advisory Board.
* It's about LJ staff trying to sneak this decision in under the radar, and when people found out, telling the users it was done 'to make the signup process less confusing'.
* It's about LJ staff failing to apologize for trying to hide the facts from view and for lying about the actual reasons for their actions.
* And finally, it's about the latest decision to hide certain user interests from the list of Most Popular Interests, some of them being fanfiction, bisexuality, sex and depression. This decision was not announced or explained in any way. Users found out for themselves.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!
GUYS.

YOU WILL TOTALLY NOT BELIEVE WHAT I SAW TODAY.

I saw a poster for an upcoming event. Someone is going to come to Augustana. And this person is going to perform. Do you want to know who the person is?!

IT'S SETH MEYERS! HE IS COMING TO AUGUSTANA! AHHHHHHHH!

IT WAS SO AWESOME. I was just walking down to the basement floor of College Center to check my mail and I saw the poster and I was like "AHHHH!" because AHHHH!

Okay, so, I love Saturday Night Live. People insult it all the time. But I LOVE it. I think they have an awesome cast now. And I think it's really funny! When I was younger, my dream was to be on SNL. However, I have acknowledged that I'm really awkward in front of people. So I would say that now, my ultimate dream--the unreachable goal--would be to write for SNL. So, like, SETH MEYERS COMING TO AUGUSTANA IS KIND OF A BIG DEAL TO ME.

Not only that, but I really, really like Seth Meyers. He was my favorite cast member at one point. I don't know a lot about him (like I do with other "obsessions"), but I think he is super-awesome and super-funny and I AM SO EXCITED. Just thinking that he's coming here makes me all giddy. EEEEEEE! I don't know HOW they did it, but I AM SO GLAD THEY DID!

OH! OH OH! AND! Every other time I have gone to see someone perform here, I have met them afterwards! It has happened with Augustana (the band), Jon McLaughlin, and Mark Schultz. SO OH MY GOSH. I MIGHT MEET HIM. What would I even SAY to him!? I don't even know! He can sign my ticket. EEE. SETH MEYERS CAN SIGN MY TICKET.

And my friends are so awesome--they're going to go with me. They all somewhat recognize him as a cast member from SNL, so I don't have to go alone!! Yayyy!

So...YES. I AM SUPER STOKED. I am going to buy my ticket ASAP. Because I DO NOT WANT IT TO SELL OUT. He is, like, the most famous person (that I care about, at least) that has come here this year. FAJKFLKSLJ SO AWESOME.

Okay, I'm going to go continue to dance around my dorm and stuff now. Byeee!

It's business time!
Idol fans are getting really grumpy and protective already. Like here, for example. It starts off with everyone mourning David Hernandez's too-early departure from the show and evolves into a David A. vs. Everyone Else war.

I honestly don't know yet who the best singer on the show is. I have favorites, sure. But, as always, I like them more for their personality (though I think they are very talented as well!). I do think that David H. was one of the best singers on the show, and that he totally did not deserve to leave. It's hard this season. All the singers are very, very different. I guess that can be said about every season, but I think that it's even MORE like that this year. I really feel like ALL of the contestants stand out. Look at the difference between Michael Johns and Amanda Overmyer, Kristy Lee Cook and Syesha Mercado, David Archuleta and David Cook. No two singers are the same. This is usually a situation that occurs when we hit Top 5. Sometimes Top 6. But Top 12 already? That's pretty cool. There's something for everyone. Maybe that's why they keep shoving "THE BEST SEASON EVER!" down our throats. That "fact" is starting to make more and more sense. This is a really talented group, and they are all so, so different.

Anyways, I don't think we should all be hatin' on other people just yet. I guess I already blew that (Josiah Leming, anyone? XD Oopsie.), but I'm tryyying to be better. There are people that I like and people that I don't like, but I can usually admit when someone has a decent voice, even if they aren't one of my favorites. I mean, I can't stand Katharine McPhee, but I'm not going to deny the fact that she's got a great voice. As much as I wish I could. Ugh.

But yeah, I don't know. I guess I just want to say that I don't know who the best singer is. And that's weird. I guess I'll figure it out in time. Hopefully my unjustified dislike of some people won't hide that from me. XD

In other news, I may be developing a new obsession. It's in the earliest stages EVER right now. So that's exciting. Here's the story: my friend Holly has been encouraging us (my buddies at school) to watch Flight of the Conchords for a while now. She has the DVD of the first season, and she's been like, "You guys will LOVE it! You have to watch it!" I wanted to watch it really bad, 'cause I've heard it's really funny. In fact, I don't think I've heard one negative thing about it. But we started watching (or, for me, re-re-re-re-rewatching XD) Stella, and everyone has wanted to finish that before we start another show. We've been watching it at different paces, though. Kyle, Dave, Brian and I finished the whole season. But Holly and Jessica have two more episodes to go. That's just because we haven't been able to ALL get together to watch it.

Anyways, we finally all decided to start Flight of the Conchords last night. We watched two episodes: Sally Returns and Bowie. And oh my gosh. I really like this show, guys. And I think I'm really developing a crush on Jemaine. I'm so excited to watch the rest of the season. Hee!

Oh, and because I'm a loser and feel the need to constantly connect all of my favorite comedians, here we go:

Eugene Mirman plays Jemaine and Bret's landlord in Flight of the Conchords. That pretty much makes all the connections I need. Not only is Eugene Mirman pretty awesome, but if you look at his Myspace, you will see that he has on his top friends Leo Allen, Demetri Martin, and Michael Showalter.

Additionally, Kristen Schaal plays Jemaine and Bret's obsessed fan. She currently stars in the online series Horrible People, which was created by and co-stars AD Miles. From AD Miles, I can totally solidify the connection. AD Miles was not only in Wet Hot American Summer (written by David Wain and Michael Showalter, starring Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black, among others), but he was also in two episodes of Stella. He also appears in many episodes of Wainy Days. And he is a really groovy dude.

And if you want a couple of far-fetched connections (which I TOTALLY DO!), AD Miles was in the Pilot episode of Stella. Rashida Jones was also in that episode. And, of course, Rashida Jones was Karen on The Office. Therefore, Flight of the Conchords is connected to The Office. I'm on a roll! John Krasinski plays Jim on The Office. He used to be an intern for Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Therefore, Flight of the Conchords is connected to Conan O'Brien. BUT ONE MORE! Conan O'Brien used to be a writer for Saturday Night Live (and The Simpsons, but I don't watch that too much). Therefore, Flight of the Conchords is connected to Saturday Night Live! YAYY!

Whoo. That was really pathetic. But it makes me quite cheerful! Just the fact that Flight of the Conchords is connected to Stella on multiple levels makes me happy. Intermingling obsessions FTW! :D

With that, I think I'm going to end this post and work on homework. I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend. Bye for now!

Quick thoughts on Idol last night.
I have been slacking so bad on Idol discussion. I know. I am sorry. For some reason, I'm not obsessed with this season. I mean, I'll talk about it, and I have favorites, and there are people I don't like, but I'm finding it hard to take the extra effort to write in here about it, and even to vote. Like, I didn't vote last night. And I didn't vote last week. Isn't that ridiculous? Bah. I am so ashamed. :(

But anyways, I do want to talk about last night's episode. I really thought it was a good one!

Yay for 80's night! )

Wow, so much for quick thoughts.

Anyway, I have a couple more entertainment-related things to talk about. First, THAT'S AMORE STARTED LAST WEEK! And let me say, I LOVE DOMENICO. My mom thinks I am insane. She is almost repulsed by him (she thinks he looks like Tony Danza, haha!). But, like, how?! He is so cute! And so funny! And so sweet! And so amazing! And and and *siiiiigh*. This show is going to kill me. All these girls get to make out with Domenico and I'm supposed to just WATCH?! What is that?! Why would MTV do that?! STUPID. However, surprisingly, there are a couple of girls I like on there. I like the one girl (I don't remember her name) who said that there are natural, non-fake-boob-having girls in America (she said this after that one annoying Kim girl--WHO I CANNOT STAND, BY THE WAY--said her boobs were way fake because all American girls have fake boobs or something). And I like the virgin girl. Seriously, like, I can't think of a time when I haven't liked the virgin on a show. They're always the coolest, it seems. But yeah, I really like this girl, and if Domenico ends up with ANY of these people, I hope it's her. And I think he really likes her. I'm just going to live vicariously through her, okay?

And OH MY GOSH, when the virgin girl told Domenico she was a virgin, he was like, "I'm looking for laaav [I love his accent so much] so I have no problem with waiting." JUST. LIKE. AHHH. Domenicooo. My loveeeeee! Could he BE any more perfect?! *swoon*

(Except for the fact that he's totally done it with a lot of chicks. Thaaat really sucks. When he said that on A Shot At Love, my heart totally broke. I mean, he's pretty awesome in every other aspect. Couldn't he have just kept it in his pants a little more? :( Domenicooo.)

I am so pathetic. Moving on!

I purchased two amazing things last week. "Sandwiches & Cats" by Michael Showalter and "I Am A Wonderful Man" by Michael Ian Black. Oh my gosh. They are both so awesome. Michael Showalter's has a couple of songs on there, which is great. My favorites are "The Mountain" and "We Had To Do The Show!" Michael Ian Black's CD is just comedy from a show, but it's really funny. Except it kills me--I'm pretty sure that the two albums were recorded at the same show (Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter DID tour together last year), and the show was in CHICAGO. So I TOTALLY could have gone. UGHH. Then again, the show was most likely recorded when I was 17, so I probably couldn't have gotten in.

But yeah, both CDs are absolutely amazing. I can't even say which my favorite is. They're both different, and they're both hilarious, and I love them very much. So YAY!

Alright, well, I'm going to go play Pokemon Diamond. I've played it pretty much nonstop for the past three or four days. I'm almost done with it. I have 7 out of 8 gym badges, and I'm about to take out the bad guys. I'm super-stoked! So, I hope you all enjoy Idol tonight! Bye for now!

American Idol -- Top 12 Guys -- Sixties Night!
Whoo hoo! Sixties Night was...kinda lame. -_- There were some groovy performances though. Disappointed at the lack of MONKEES LOVE, but oh well. ;p There might not have even been any Monkees songs as options for them. But aaaanyways! On to my thoughts!

Come on, baby, light my fireee )

Gosh, I so have no life.

In other news, I had such a bad day today. First of all, it was the last day of Dan's class, which is LAME AND DEPRESSING. I love his class. :( Secondly, I completely forgot to do an assignment for Reason & Faith. I don't know how I could forget. I just suck at life. When I realized it (immediately after I entered the classroom), I felt so sick. I don't forget assignments usually. I mean, I have before, but that was in high school, and I've been able to make it up or explain to the teacher that I'm an idiot or something. My Reason & Faith teacher accepts no late work--he was very clear about this. So I just chalked it up to the "Reasons I Fail At Existence" category of my life and dealt with it.

I ended up convincing myself that it'd be okay because we had a paper due last week that I was very confident about. The paper was worth way more than the assignment, so I figured it would even out. Well, we got our papers back today, and I got a C+. Yeah. C+. So much for that hope. I was so disappointed in myself. I really thought I laid out a good argument. But my teacher said my objections were weak. I felt like crap. Ugh. I'm just...ugh. I feel like such a failure. We don't have a lot of assignments in that class, so this is going to drag my grade down. Before now, I had gotten an A or an A- on everything. Now I'm probably going to get a B or a C in the class.

My last hope is the creative essay we have due next Thursday. But I'm really worried about that. We have to basically write 4 pages about why we believe or don't believe in God. We have to come up with our own proof for it and everything. Like, how am I supposed to do that? I was obviously too clueless to write about someone else's proof in an intelligent way, so how the heck am I going to come up with an explanation for what I believe that won't sound stupid? I suck. I just suck. Especially at philosophy, apparently. I thought I liked that class. Boo, me. :( It's just such a tough class!

But anyways, Idol was entertaining tonight, so I guess that's good. And tomorrow is German, which will be fun. So yay for that, I suppose!

Okay, speaking of, I should work on my German homework. Hope you all have a nifty day tomorrow. Bye for now!

Eeee!
Okay, so, David Wain was on WNYC (some radio station in New York, apparently) talking about this book that he has a piece in, Things I've Learned From Women Who've Dumped Me. I listened to the interview because, well, I love David Wain (SO much. Kind of a recent, increasing obsession), and I'm re-listening to it now (I missed a little bit of the beginning). Anyways, he just said the cutest thing ever. He was talking about how he had been dumped for most of his adult life, and then he said how happy he is in his current relationship, and AWWWW. Because he is TOTALLY dating Zandy Hartig, who is in a bunch of episodes of Wainy Days, AND THEY ARE SO CUTE.

SHOULDN'T THEY BE TOGETHER FOREVER?! Yes. Yes, they should. I am far too in love with David Wain. And them as a couple. >.<

Which reminds me, I met with an English/Secondary Education adviser today, and she totally looked like Zandy. And I was like "OMG." Except I didn't really say that. 'Cause that'd be weird, I guess. But yeah.

Okay, I'm going to go watch Stella now (I AM NOT OBSESSED, I AM NOT OBSESSED...). Hope you all have groovy evenings. Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day!! I LOVE YOU ALL! :D

Quick thoughts on tonight's episode of Idol )

MY HYPER HOLLYWOOD POST. LET ME SHOW YOU IT.
Okay, so I've consumed more sugar in the past three hours than I think I have in the past three months (I had two packets of that Fun Dip/Pixie Stix stuff, plus a Mountain Dew [which I haven't had in like a month--I was so proud of myself] and a Pop Tart and a huge cookie and a large hot chocolate) so YEAH I'M A LITTLE HYPED UP RIGHT NOW. Therefore, IDOL DISCUSSION. FDJSKLFDSJALK.

Cut in case people haven't seen it and are going to later, I guess! )

And that's about it. I've never been so intensely involved in the Hollywood episode before. I was screaming and cheering and everything. I'm so afraid that all my favorites are going to go home. I've really become fans of these people. It's so early for that to happen! If they don't make it to Top 24, I don't know who I'll cheer for. Bahhh. American Idol. This show drives me crazy. I can't wait until tomorrow, fdlksafjskd.

Alright, I have a German test tomorrow that I have to study for (WHOO HOO), so I'm going to go do that. I hope you all have a groovy day. I'll probably post tomorrow to talk about the Top 24. And so yeah. Talk to you dudes soon. BYEE!

P.S. In reference to my icon, please replace "Davy Jones" with "Michelle." I'm looking at you, Josiah Leming.

AHHHHHHHHH.

That's from The Show. The one I couldn't go to. *sobbbbb*

I'm glad I found this clip from it, but still. It's tugging at my heart that I couldn't be there to see them live. Ughh. I hope Stella performs together again sometime. It had been, like, a year before this show since they've been together. They're all doing different things. David's got Wainy Days (which is really really funny, by the way) on MyDamnChannel, and he just got done with The Ten and stuff. Michael Showalter has The Michael Showalter Showalter (again, really funny--I hope he's going to keep doing it). And Michael Ian Black just recorded a comedy album, and he's probably doing some other stuff too. So, like, they've been busy. What if they keep on being busy? What if they stop performing together? Ahhh! I would be so sad. I mean, it's my dream to see Stella live. While I would be content seeing one member of Stella live, I would ideally like to see all of them! *sigh*

I love them too much.

Anyways, this video killed me. Oh my gosh. Not only were they absolutely hilarious (and it didn't sound like the audience was 100% laughing at it--which really ticks me off. But anyway), but OH MY GOSH. At 6:45 I LITERALLY screamed. PAUL. EFFING. RUDD. WAS THERE. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. IT WAS JUST A BUNCH OF PEOPLE I LOVE HANGING OUT IN NEW YORK. AND I HAD TO BE HERE FKLAFJKLJLKFDSJKLADSFJKLASDFJKLFSDALKJFDSALKJFSDA.

Oh yeah, and remember the possible Chicago Darren Hayes concert that I posted? The one that would come close to making up for me missing this one? Not happening. :( He isn't going to come to North America this year, apparently. So YEAH. Essentially, the live-music part of my life is IN SHAMBLES. And my heart is broken. :(

*sigh* Well, just wanted to post and share the glory that is Stella. I'm going to leave to do my radio show in like twenty minutes, so hopefully that'll go well. Everything's good besides me being grumpy over this, I promise. >.< I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Bye for now.
